I was tasked to capture Preston on it's beauty, divinity an energy for their launch of the youth strategy in a music video. I decided to take photographs of Wallace and Gromit statue in the city centre but realised, everyone would do that because its the most Preston has got to fame.
I decided to research Mosques, as I found out off someone Preston has the most Mosques, which is cool itself but I didn't want to steal their idea. I kept researching I found out about St Walburge's Church, it's the tallest parish church in England, with 165 years of History. https://www.visitpreston.com/article/3654/St-Walburge-s-Church (30.09.2025).
I also wanted to try different camera techniques such as the 'dutch tilt'. This is because I wanted to use somewhat of a old camera technique but add colour to embrace Preston's future. https://photofocus.com/photography/what-is-dutch-tilt-in-photography/ (30.09.2025). I wanted to follow the shape of the building/flagpole to make viewers want to look again and again, wondering why I shot it this way and come up with their own explanations too.
