For these photography lighting style, I used 'Rembrandt'. This is where I would position the lighting on one side of the face to create a more masculine face shape. I could improve my camera position to get a more central frame of the subject and even go further by using adobe Lightroom to increase contrast and brighten the photograph, so it could be seen from across the room, as studio photography is most useful for magazines and family photographs.
For these photographs, I used Butterfly lighting style to create a little butterfly shape under the nose. This is where the light is just above the subjects nose, which casts a butterfly like shadow under it. This creates a more feminine face shape of the subject. I could improve this photograph or for my next project by focusing on Lightroom in the adobe suit to contrast the lighting more to increase the visibility. This photograph style is best used for femininity face shapes, as it softens the cheek bones. I would find photographs like this in magazines and other studio setups like schools headshots or casting headshots.
