Duplicate layer.
Layer – Layer Style - Pattern Overlay.
Click on the pattern box and choose the pattern overlay you want.
Note: you can change the opacity, blending and scale accordingly.
Once you have made your amendments click ‘ok’ and the pattern will appear on your image.
Make any other adjustments you want to make to your image e.g. channel mixer, brightness and contrast, hue and saturation, curves.
Note: you could also import/scan in other images to create a pattern overlay e.g. mesh material, tissue paper
Duplicate layer.
Double click on the foreground colour tool and change the colour to white.
Click on the rectangle marquee tool and draw over area want to cover.
Click on the eraser tool - choose brush and diameter accordingly.
Erase area the area you want to erase to show the image underneath.
Make any other adjustments you want to make to your image e.g. channel mixer, brightness and contrast, hue and saturation, curves.
Image – Mode – click on RGB colour.
Duplicate layer.
Make sure all the levels are correct before making changes (in the case of portraits the skin tone should already be light).

Click on the pre-set box dropdown menu and click on the cross process RGB option.
